We allow exceptions for charr and we'll have to for everything else. Every character owner who says their female character is "normally" a male, so they get tagged male, and every wolf who's a "tiger in spirit" so they get tagged tiger (yes I've heard that). Rule exceptions cause a breakdown in order, something that is very important for a site like this to function.

Point is, lore is completely irrelevant to the purpose of an art catag site. That's all we are. We show you a picture and tag what we see in front of us, objectively and without bias or outside knowledge. People who don't know what a charr is or who are unfamiliar with a character don't need to know their backstory from the tags, they can search that crap off-site, or even in the comments. If you're worried about not finding female charr when you search female charr, then just search charr and sift through a few more images to find what you want. Things can't always be tied up in a nice neat little package.
