why did the staff go flaccid

Ever have the moment like seeing a thumbnail from the main page and was like “oh boi, this picture sure turns me on” and then you went in being horni and then you found out it has [something that you are blacklisting but the picture didn’t have the tag yet] and then you felt akward and then the horni goes away?

Capitalist *Staves* are only hard when they're putting it to their workers and generating profits (at their expense); hearing 'Worker Well-being' takes the fun out of it for them.

  • You have to be completely insane to pull off furry porn (not porn in this case but still) political comics, but this guy somehow does it

  • Y'all are aware that you could actually stand to profit off of this research, correct? If 4-day work weeks improve worker productivity and well-being, then pick an industry that's productivity- and retention-sensitive, make a business model, acquire VC or angel investment with this research's help, and watch the cash roll in.

I miss when he did more funny comics and memes instead of jumping on the political bandwagon of the week, often subjects he seems to know little to nothing about since typically those comics offer little to no insight into the subject. Political cartoons usually offer some information or insight, this just says "BENEFITS" without offering any indication of what benefits there are and also ignores any disadvantages or difficulties in a 4 day work week and aims the blame solely at the super wealthy.

I worked a 4 day work week for years and liked it but ended up shifting back to a 5 day work week almost entirely due to customers. There are benefits: it's less stressful, you get an extra day off, and more efficient use of your time. If it's practical to do so It's often a better fit for most people and often results in reports of increased job satisfaction and overall increased happiness.

The main disadvantages though are due to costumers. Most costumers now expect most companies to be open 8:00am-5:00pm at a minimum (even 9-5 is largely dead) and they often demand more flexible hours. Many industries now are 24/7. Often the countries/companies that are switching to a 4 day work week do so by outsourcing a ton, making it so that the wealthy Europeans can have things a bit easier while shifting the burden onto cheaper countries like India as much as possible. There's a massive demand now for 24/7 service and near instant gratification (look at how shipping used to take weeks and now many people expect stuff next day or within a few days). There's also issues like inequality as often the white collar workers get the 4 day work week while blue collar workers are still expected to stick to their original schedules. Creating more shifts to meet the demands from costumers can also create scheduling difficulties, communication issues, and can result in people getting weird or partially shifts. When i worked 4 day work weeks and many people I know who did/do work 4 days a week often ended up working a bit outside of their shift doing things like answering emails or calls or having to come in for a partial work day since problems pop up on projects/tasks you're working on but come up outside of your shift. My company (both workers and the employer) decided to abandon the 4 day work week since it was impractical entirely due to the demands of costumers and that's a trend I've noticed in many industries.

I dont expect an essay in his comics but they offer no argument, no information, and are usually just lazy attempts at smearing someone the creator doesnt like. He should avoid politics, political commentary isnt in their wheelhouse.

    TL;DR

You know you can blacklist tags, such as politics, right? Also oh my god I would kill for a 4 day work week. I'm exhausted and my days off are spent trying to recover the energy I lost. Hell, even if it's 4 10s instead of 5 8s it'd make a huge difference. As it is, I'm fighting burnout every single week and I'm too tired to do the things I used to enjoy.

Regardless of the efficacy of a four day work week, I really don't understand what you mean when you criticize them for not offering any insight or making an argument? I'm not sure what political cartoons you've seen but this is true for political cartoons as a whole. You'll see what i'm talking about if you just google "political cartoon" and look at the images. It's pretty hard to make an argument, evidence a claim, or provide much insight in the span of like four s so you're often just appealing to people who already agree with what's being conveyed. I don't really care for that which is why I don't really look at political cartoons but I don't know why you specifically target happyroadkill for this when it's a far more general issue.

  • I literally don't get why companies don't have a 4 day work week. It's both better for them because they don't have to have us in the office as much AND the employees do more work, and better for us because we get an extra day off. It's a win win for everyone.
