In most ways, draconic kobolds are comparable to lesser kobolds biologically. As with all kobolds, they are an entirely female species that can feed either from sex or mundane food but gain more nutritional value from the former, and they are divided into breeder and worker castes. Where draconic kobolds differ from their kin is the details.

One of the most noticeable of those details is the fact that worker caste kobolds possess breasts. These breasts are functional and do produce milk, but not nearly as much as the breasts of breeders. The milk workers produce is incredibly dense in hormones, and performs the same function as breeder kobold milk does in nearly all other kobold subtypes - hormonal modification of prey. By contrast, draconic breeders' milk is entirely used to nurse young kobolds, as draconic kobolds do not hatch fully precocial the way most kobold hatchlings do.

Another large difference is in build. Draconic kobolds are not only much taller than other kobolds (averaging 5-6.5 feet or 150 to 200cm tall), but are also considerably more flexible. All draconic kobolds possess several double ts, and workers in particular are double ted or otherwise extremely flexible at every t, allowing them to accomplish startling feats of flexibility such as turning their heads a full 180 degrees around to face behind themselves and bending their elbows and knees extremely far in the "wrong" direction. This flexibility coupled with partially prehensile toes allows them to be excellent climbers despite having digitigrade legs. These kobolds also possess webbing beneath their arms as well, a likely vestige of full gliding webbing possessed by their ancestors. Though vestigal, this webbing does still allow draconic kobolds a high degree of control over their trajectory while falling.

As they are a subspecies of kobold, draconic kobolds do possess many of the hallmark hunting tools of their more predatory kin, albeit with significant changes. As mentioned prior, worker caste kobolds produce milk that induces permanent hormonal changes in those that ingest it, turning them into more efficient cattle. However, they do not produce this milk in the quantities that breeders of other kobold subspecies do as they do not actively hunt or maintain sexual cattle to nearly the same degree. The jelly produced by the saliva glands of breeders has also lost its ability to induce hormonal changes as well, and and the frontal scales of both castes no longer has adhesive properties. Instead, breeder oral jelly now acts as more of an immediate aphrodisiac, specifically one that causes orgasms in both males and females to last longer and forcing a shorter refractory period between them. Both castes' front scales also secrete a mild aphrodisiac as well, which primarily acts on prey when inhaled.

As servants of the highly mercantile dragons, draconic kobolds generally welcome the presence of outsiders. They are far less arrogant than most of their kin as well, and lack any reputation for backstabbing or thievery. Just the opposite, draconic kobolds are truthful to a fault, though one may need to be careful not to misinterpret what they say. Outright lies are fairly uncommon among draconic kobolds, but they are not above allowing misunderstandings and miscommunication to persist when it suits them.

Draconic kobolds are also highly transaction-minded. Where dragons think in of contracts and rules, their kobold servants think in of debt and payment. In other words, while dragons make a habit of trying to "rules lawyer" their way into bending the rules to suit them without actually breaking any rule, draconic kobolds are more concerned with ensuring their metaphorical books are balanced. They do what they agree to do, no more and no less and with less in the way of "creative" interpretation of agreements than one would expect (though they aren't above doing so entirely). They do not even think in of concepts like "favors", though most (albeit not all) fully understand such non-payment oriented concepts. This tendency makes them a dream to work with so long as one pays as agreed, but can make them seem petty, capricious and ruthless depending on the situation if one is unused to their somewhat alien way of thinking, especially when it comes to unpaid debts (be it debts owed to them or owed by them).

Though nowhere near as savage or exploitative as their lesser kin, draconic kobolds are still fundamentally a species of sex-feeding predators. And while their symbiosis with the highly sexually active dragon race certainly does a lot to negate their need to find new prey, kobold families often still need sources of feeding outside their masters to truly thrive. Food can perform this role if needed and can even do so indefinitely thanks to kobold-kind's nature as true omnivores, but kobolds will most certainly seek out additional sources of sexual feeding when the opportunity presents itself. Under most circumstances for outsiders, this will take the form of kobolds demanding feeding as part of their pay for whatever services they provide. However, it is not unheard of for kobolds to simply kidnap prey to raise as sexual cattle the way their kin do, or even to barter or trade for viable cattle. They are especially willing to do this with viable prey that owe them significant debts.
