MemberI believe you're thinking of TPE being used in 3d printing, where the process of 3d printing makes the TPE porous and an ideal living space for bacteria if exposed to the right conditions. However, TPE itself is not inherently porous, and it can be used with other forms of manufacturing, such as injection moulding, which does not create pores in the TPE.
