KOTM 2 was super hard in the arcades. In the SNES version it was a lot more fair, such as 100% assured knockdown on a U opponent with a jumping attack. The best version was probably the Megadrive/Genesis version which converted the three earth monsters and six of the seven alien monsters into straight up SNK fighters.

Eiffelyte was one of the more broken fighters as he had a move that would make him invincible and if someone touched him they would get knocked down, and his punches and kicks hit several times, leading to easy "Dizzy" status on your opponent. When your opponent is dizzy, the next attack that hits then will do double damage.

This culminates in why Effelyte was so busted as he has a grab input that lets him drain HP from the opponent and restore your own, so if you Dizzy your opponent and then grab and pull off the life steal, the massive HP damage will not only be done to your opponent but you will GAIN all of that HP.

The game really only had two flaws on the megadrive:
-All monsters had the same roar files.
-They didn't have time to adapt King Famardy in as a character so the final boss in arcade mode is just a mirror match.

That said King Famardy still shows up in the Continue/Game Over screen.
