Description

"Negev Prime is the hottest colony on the star system. Here on it's northern, habitable portion, every day has 33 hours of sunlight, followed by 5 hours of something we could charitably call night. During peak daylight, temperatures can reach 48° to 56°C on surfaces directly exposed to the sun. It's not as bad in the shadow, but you'll still be sweating like a bottle of cold water left out of the fridge. Native plant and animal life is scarce almost everywhere, but there's a lot of mineral riches underneath our feet, which is why so many new people still come every year to work in this hellhole.

Physical labour during noon can be dangerous if you're somewhere even slighty exposed to sunlight, so most companies give 'em workers a couple of hours of break to avoid heatstrokes. We pilots are not so lucky however, but at least my cockpit has a real nice cooling system. Hah, that reminds me of a buddy of mine, worked in a gas station and repair shop leaving HZ-01, on the border of the great desert. Heat made him mad horny almost every day, if you got there during noon you'd usually catch him chugging beer and jerking off, moaning and everything. He'd be wearing his dirty, oil-stained overalls, smelling of sweat, grease and dick cheese, huffing on his own armpit musk. Didn't really mind if others stopped to watch it, in fact, I think he liked having an audience. Great dude by the way, wonder if he still works there."
