MemberIt's just humor, but sadly it's misplaced, could have substituted the "hurt yourself" comment with something a little more clever, a technique I like to use is write down all the words that could be similar with each other, and create something funny out of them, maybe you could have said "OR I WILL COMMIT INSURANCE FRAUD, AND CHARGE YOU FOR THE MEDICAL EXPENSES" or maybe "OR I'LL USE YOUR FACE AS MY OWN PERSONAL FLESHLIGHT"

I mean to be honest, the other character did not seem too stressed at all, even being cussed out they didn't care, because the subject matter is not portrayed in a serious way. It's a joke, not to be taken seriously.
Saying that there are people like that in the world, is irrelevant because it's still just a joke. They're plenty of jokes that contain cruel people in the story, and people still laugh at them because they don't take them seriously.
Not only that but these are fictional characters, they are not real people, that's what I don't understand what the fuss is about.

I personally think that the humor was there, but not executed as well as it could have been dialogue-wise; It wasn't quite as over-the-top so as to be truly absurd and immediately understood as being humorous to some others.

Well, if you haven't seen this artist before, they have an ARG of sorts in their videos, and i translated the dots in this one seeing as no one else has yet. (each cluster of dots represents a letter in the alphabet, count the dots)
The dots at the end translated to 'meltdown' which I didn't think much of until I scanned the QR code which led to a google drive link to a zip file titled '#####'
Not only that, but the zip file required a to unzip, luckily the code 'meltdown' worked and it unzipped, leaving 2 PDF files that are both just... a full page of dots that need translation...
If it's of any worth, the dots in the beginning translate to "dsm" which I'm not sure what that means but it's something.
I'll come back when I translate them both

But I'll it that the KYS-brand humor was a bit too bottom of the barrel to work, and just kinda wound up... awkward? Plus this "char1: *is intense* char2: meh" setup usually gets better the more Character 1 is exaggerated

MemberPersonally I think that the twitchy movement of the red (pink?) dude in the intro was a good indicator that it was supposed to be a joke, especially given that the twitchy movement is gone once the main animation starts. Maybe some post-processing would help sell the comedic intent in the future.
Regardless, the animation itself is of good quality. I think the response to the intro/outro should be taken as a learning experience, if it needs to be taken as anything at all.

Funny in itself is completely subjective, there is a reason why dark humor is successful, it's because people use it as a coping mechanism, and is a way to look at tragedy and find the humor in it, so we as human beings don't fall apart and dwell on it.
I for one as well as others, have been in numerous toxic relationships.. but if I chose to dwell on it, and obsess about it, instead of move on and laugh about it in some way, I would be a very very depressed individual
