Former StaffWas bit odded out with the amount of colors when approving, then realized it's actually APNG.
For some reason the file is unoptimized so that's why the filesize is pretty huge. Running the file through FFmpeg turns it into 1.9MB and through Pingo it turns 1.4MB.

Former StaffCurrent issue with APNG is compatibility, browsers basically all it, but stuff like Discord locks it behind animated sticker only so embeds don't animate. It is amazing format that is more efficient and allows so much more colors compared to GIF, but yeah, formats and standards. WebP is another format that can be used pretty widely now, but e621 and many other sites do not ing that (altough those would work on Discord because AAAA).
Video formats work, but there are drawbacks which become apparent with under second long loops with no audio like this one.
Because of all the formats having their own problems, you can animations in multiple fileformats. Just ensure they are all according to guidelines (e.g. GIF isn't immensily much more visually artifacting), the best version first, then but the other versions as child posts.
Alternatively can just have additional versions and sources linked in description and source if people are having trouble with something, but as long as highest quality version is ed here it's all good.
