MemberWhere I live, if you're going in for a colonoscopy, sigmoidoscopy, or similar test where they want to get a good look inside for diagnostic data, they put you on a diet for a few weeks before the exam where you slowly work from normal solid foods down to only liquid food. Basically just broth and juice for the last couple days, and they still get you to drink a fleet enema once your there in hospital. That's the ideal anyway. Time, patient health complications, and such cause cause the process to be rushed or have parts skipped.
Not sure what organ they're looking inside though. Doesn't look like the stomach or any section of the intestines. Not sure it's even human with how pale the tissue is. Would be cool if anyone knows.
